HVR worked with a major shipbuilder to review the capacity of their yards against the planned future shipbuilding programmes. This provided them with the ability to review loading of the shipyards and allocate work between the yards so as to maximise profits for the business as a whole.
HVR used Portfolio Analysis to support analysis of over 80 options for a Technology Insertion Programme. The assessment was completed considerably quicker than previous studies of a similar nature and provided a robustness and audit trail that gave confidence to the client and external assessors.
HVR conducted a study to determine the impact on an industry of a period without construction in terms of decay in capability and time to regenerate capability. Data collection for other engineering sectors and model development provided the client with valuable insight into the industrial capacity implications and additional procurement costs to be incurred for a range of procurement timescales.

Equipment Options Analysis - HVR has supported clients in equipment down-selection through identification of options, data collection, cost and performance analysis and multi-criteria decision frameworks.
