HVR's
experience of the Defence procurement CADMID acquisition
model covers all phases. HVR has serviced the MoD
and Defence Supply Chain with operational analysis,
market surveys, risk management, supply chain management,
programme management, bid support, system engineering,
ILS, data management, assessment methodology, cost
forecasting, safety engineering, trials and technology/military
specialists.
The
Defence procurement CADMID acquisition model includes
a Concept and Assessment Phase to create a business
case to achieve Initial and Main Gate respectively.
HVR’s financial independence from all equipment
suppliers has enabled our Concept and Assessment Phase
(CAP) Clients to demonstrate impartiality to DEC,
DPA and all potential suppliers for supply chain management
and tender assessment.
A
key element of a CAP study is performance/cost trade-offs
throughout the acquisition cycle – from early
concept choices through to disposal. At each stage,
there will be a wide range of options that must be
evaluated and prioritised. This is a complex process
that requires many factors to be considered such as
cost and risk as well as performance. HVR’s
Rapid Options Analysis is a powerful methodology that
enables Balance of Investment decisions to be taken
with limited resources and often against short timescales.
Our
depth of experience allows us to offer the facility
to create the business case in full or to offer support
to the Industry team charged with building the case
as appropriate.
