HVR
delivers system supportability-engineering services
on behalf of client programme managers that provide
modern, integrated, optimised and cost-effective support
solutions in a Lean Support environment.
Applying
a through-life perspective, our supportability engineering
team provide practical system support solutions ranging
from conventional ILS-based programmes, through CLS
derivatives, to modern innovative integrated optimised
solutions. Practitioners in Systems Engineering and
Lean Support techniques, and conversant with supportability
doctrine, our team offer an independent view of supportability
needs across the complete range of acquisition programmes.
HVR’s ‘systems approach to supportability
engineering’ provides timely and accurate inputs
to the system design process resulting in designs
that are optimised for the support environment with
the resulting savings to Whole Life Cost.
HVR’s
system supportability consultants have many years
of experience in developing tailored supportability
engineering programmes and use this experience to
offer pragmatic support solutions that satisfy the
requirements of the MOD’s Support Solutions
Envelope. Versed in the Product Life Cycle Support
(PLCS) and Standard for the Exchange of Product model
data (STEP) (ISO 10303 AP239) our team utilises the
latest integrated system supportability toolsets to
produce information for the population of a range
of support databases. Furthermore, we offer assistance
in the development of data-mining strategies to enable
in-service data to feed the design improvement process.
Through
the utilisation of our Whole Life Costing capability
within the system supportability-engineering environment,
HVR is able to take System Supportability Engineering
beyond simply providing a ‘solution’.
Our systems-based approach enables trade-off analyses
to be undertaken that develop a series of ‘cost
versus capability’ support options; where cost
is the major programme driver, programmes are tailored
to optimise the support solution provided against
the available budget.
